A sewing or jewellery-making hen party with us is a great way to start your celebrations.

Planning a hen party for yourself or for a friend prior to her ‘big’ day .  Are you looking for an unusual hen party idea.  Then look no further than one Birmingham School of Sewing’s fun and creative craft, sewing and jewellery making parties specifically organised for the bride and her ‘Hens’.   You may decide to make personalised bunting for the wedding decorations, or vintage hearts, or maybe make a necklace or a statement ring.  Do you have a particular theme in mind.  We will do our best to offer you exactly what you want or to offer ideas if you are not sure what you are looking for.

The workshops are organised for everyone to enjoy whether your Hens are absolute beginners or experienced crafters.  Sessions are 2-3 hours  depending on your chosen project and sewing abilities.    We have a selection of jewellery making for beginners that do not require any sewing at all

Sewing Parties for Children



 

Are you looking for a completely different party for your children? Then book  your child’s party at the Birmingham School of Sewing and we will provide an hour and a half to two hours of sewing entertainment for up to six partygoers who will each make a lovely sewing item such as a bag, hair accessories, fabric bows and flowers, fabric jewellery, etc, or younger children can decorate T shirts, bags etc. Sewing projects can be stitched by machine or by hand.

Cost: £120 for up to 6 children additional £15 per child  maximum of 10 children in total.  We supply all sewing machines, all equipment and fabrics

Parties suitable for children aged 6 and above.

Sewing for Children aged 10-16 years : After School Club

After School Sewing Club for age 11-16 year olds.

The sewing club will run during term time on a Thursday from 4.00pm-5.30pm starting on Thursday 2nd May. During the 4 week workshops the students will produce a selection of mini projects whilst learning a variety of fun techniques from fabric decoration including hand sewing and embroidery to using a sewing machine. All materials are included. Cost for the course of 4 sessions is £59.

We enjoyed a Hen Party on Saturday 3rd November.  The bride flew in from Aberdeen and hens met from all around the country to enjoy the Hen Party organised by Birmingham School of Sewing.  The Hens learned how to make shoe clips and brooches.  Each hen made herself a pair of beautiful shoe clips to match her wedding outfit.

At this Hen Party a great morning was experienced by all the hens who each made beautiful shoe clips. Look at the variety of shoe clips made.Hens showing off their finished shoe clips all displayed on one pair of shoes!Congratulations to our future Bride.
